ice and soil/ hielo y tierra is a ritual-performance where a large-scale sign that reads "NO HUMAN IS ILLEGAL" was created with ice and soil on the concrete bed of the Los Angeles River. As if guided by a premonition, the ritual was activated on June 5th, 2025, just one day before the horrific ICE raids in Los Angeles started tearing families apart.
